MY STORY
About Me
Debra’s passion for architecture was born in high school from her love for art and math. She applied these skills at the University of Southern California’s top-notch five-year undergraduate architecture program, where she explored the relationships between art, psychology, and architecture. Upon graduation, she won an award in recognition of the student that contributed positively to the studio culture.
After graduating in 2013, she worked at Poon Design as an entry level designer, focusing mainly on single family residential projects. She then joined Soler Architecture in 2016 as a job captain, where she continued working on residential projects of various scales—from single-family to multi-family projects. She honed her skills to manage the architectural process from beginning to end and took responsibility for her own projects.
In 2017, she got licensed as an architect and in 2018, she opened her own design firm to explore and meld all her passions to help the greater good. Her passions include all things design related, photography, museum exhibits, nature, writing, reading, traveling, living a healthy lifestyle, yoga, meditation, and an intense curiosity for learning.
